East Side Marioīs
A great set of options, including many lunch options and extended kids menu. Good food, good environment, fair service. It is worth a new visit. A couple + 2 kids, no alcohol, no dessert, $45 at lunch.

We visited La Luna Loca for Sunday lunch. Service is ok, the food is great at a good price, and the ambient is simple, but with an interesting Mexican atmosphere. There was some flaws though... Coke was barely drinkable and we thought the plates should have had a better wash. 3 entrees, 2 pops, $45.

We went in a slow Tuesday evening, so we had a chance to know a little more about the restaurant, its owner and
the renowned Peruvian cuisine. We started on the comfort zone, with a chicken Empanada, but went wild with Ceviche (not a total stranger to us) and
Jalea Mixta. We have even tried Inka Kola, a Peruvian soda, and finished with typical sweets (itīs all about dulce de leche). It was a great experience, the food is really delicious and the ambient is not impressive, but welcoming. A couple: appetizer, entrée, sodas and desert for $50.

Creative and delicious food. Service is very nice, but there are some room for improvement: warm wine and paper napkins. Dinner for two (2 starters, 1 entrée, 1 desert, 1 glass of wine, tip and tax): $100.

Very nice restaurant, one of the best experiences we had in Surrey/North Delta. Installations are great and well kept, service is efficient and polite, the steaks were very good. There was a lot of small celebrations going on - itīs the kind of restaurant people save for a special moment. A couple, two kids, a glass of wine, desert (sort of) - $130, tips and taxes included.

After waiting our food for more than 40 minutes - the kids were starving - we asked the waitress why it was taking so long. She answered there was a party of 40 in another room to be served and only two cooks, but they were doing their best. She did not apologize. Neither we were told about the situation BEFORE we ordered.

| | Memphis Blues Barbeque House
Over a shopping adventure, we decided to eat at Memphis Blues BBQ in South Surrey. The Grandview Corners Mall is brand new. The first time we went there, this restaurant was not open yet. Apparently a lot of people is already familiar with that unit. The restaurant was almost full - all the tables indoor were taken. We thought that the Memphis Feast, $39, would be enough for us (2 adults, 2 kids). There was so much meat that after we had lunch, we filled two (free supplied) dishes to take home. The barbeque is great, but some of the meats are spice (even the fries) and may not suit everybody, including my kids. Barbeque for lunch, dinner and, possibly, another lunch, beverages, about $55 (tip and tax included).

Brand new unit, with some tables located in windowed areas, and some tables in claustrophobic, shadowed areas. The service (good, correct) and food (good selection, well prepared) are what you would expect from Boston Pizza.

I canīt say I didnīt like, but my expectations were higher. The location is gorgeous, great view of Vancouver, in Burnaby Mountain Park (you donīt need to eat at the Horizons to go there). The food is nice, the service is not great, but is good enough. There are some nice tables with great view, some are ok, but there are awful ones. I would say your chance is 50/50. We went there for a Fatherīs Day brunch. I was expecting a breath-taking buffet, but only an omelet buffet was available. We went a la carte, and we havenīt regret. Our party: 2 adults and 2 kids: 3 Entrées, a glass of wine, and 3 deserts: $115 (tax and tips in). It was not expensive, good price/performance.

We went there for (Saturday) lunch. It was a great experience. The installations are comfortable, ample and well lit. Service was great. One odd thing - there is no printed kids menu, the waitress has to say what is available. Two adults, two kids, no dessert, one glass of wine - $70 tax and gratuity included. It was worth it.

We had the Motherīs Day brunch at Cafe Pacifica. It is a big space with large windows overseeing Canada Place, the mountains and vicinities. It was a little crowded, but the buffets were always stocked and the lines were almost non-existent. Sushis (the sushiman was kind enough to prepare some made-to-order pieces for my son), dumplings, lamb, crab legs, made-to-order eggs, salad buffet, childrenīs table and a full-size dessert table that included a chocolate fountain to dress fruits or marshmallows. There was a boot for face painting and ballon sculptures. We all had a great time. Two adults and 2 kids: $ 230.

We went to Charm last night and had a great experience from start to finish starting with a Thai basil mojito while waiting for a table at the bar. Once we were seated we decided to try another one of their specials a Lychee martini which was a perfect concoction not too sweet.
We started with a lobster bisque and soft shell crab. Nice twist to Tom Kha style soup with generous lobster meat. Soft shell crab was more Japanese but the spicy lime soy sauce was quite refreshing.
Off to the mains as we ordered the Pad Thai and Green tea organic chicken. The Pad Thai was one of the best in the city prepared as authentic as what weve had in Thailand and generous portion for only $14 with tiger prawns. Green Tea organic chicken was amazingly tender with a nice balanced orange ginger sauce. We were recommended to try a Vioginer to pair up with our dinner plates and the vioginer paired very nice with the food. All food presentation was plated like a fine dining restaurant but the prices were very reasonable considering theyre in Yaletown.
The staff starting from the hostess to the bartender to our waitress were all knowledgable, helpful and
Charming. This is definitely one of our favourite places now! Canīt wait to go back and try some of their other items.

We stopped by after visiting the Vancouver International Auto Show at BC Place. For us, Cibo was not the best place in town for having an early dinner, because the restaurant is not appropriate for kids (no kids menu for instance), but we felt the staff cared enough to make our visit a pleasant one. They accepted a special order for the kids and our food (just the primo piatto) was really good. Two adults, two kids, a glass of wine and no desert for $86.

Nice place, nice food, great service. We had 4 different paper place mats, all very interesting, covering different aspects of the Italian culture (language, cheese, wine and pasta). We had bruschetta platter and pasta platter, so we could try a little bit of different tastes. Desert and (big cup of) coffee were also very good. It was a great experience for a Sunday lunch. 2 adults, 2 kids, 3 courses and a glass of wine for $100.

Awful service. We arrived on a Saturday at 12h10. The restaurant capacity was below 20% - some 4 or 5 tables out of many. Waiters and waitresses just ignore us. We have tried to order something, but after too long we decided to leave and never return. We have been eating at this place for two years.. Too bad...

It is a very good experience. Good service, good food, for the price you would expect in such a place. We tried the Winter Tasting, 6 courses for $96: Some average courses combined with some really good stuff. It is a little too noisy and well lit, thus not so romantic.

Thatīs our preferred restaurant whenever we take visitors to sightseeing. Weīve been there first time in 1998 and got back some 10 years later. The food is nice, the prosciutto gnocchi was great as well as the NY Steak Sandwich. The installations are fair, inside is a bit old, but with a great view of the Steam-Clock through its glass walls. The patio is available in the summer and it is the best location for a lunch with a view of the tourists waiting the quarter-hour shows.

We paid a visit on a snowy Boxing Day. The restaurant was almost empty. I think that there was just one (nice) waitress. It was our first time in an abc country restaurant. The installations are fair, the service was reasonably good, and the food was really good and in large servings. Seniors and kids menus are a great value.

It is a large room with comfortable installations. The patio seems nice, just a little noisy from the traffic at 120 St. We took the kids to this place, but the experience was not that great, because most of the entrees are spicy. We had to send back a trio of miniburgers because the burger was too spicy for my son (we had asked the waitress before ordering it). But if you are not taking kids, seems to be a nice place, the food is more like Earls and Milestones than White Spot.

After skiing at Grouse Mountain, we stopped by this restaurant to have lunch at 4pm. It is an ample room with a dozen tvs and some sport memorabilia - according to a banner, they have Canucks pay-per-view. The food was well executed, but the service was a little lousy. The waiters were polite, but they insisted in talking to each other, instead of taking care of the few customers.

The view from the outdoor patio is awesome. I took my kids to lunch a few times and every time we had a great experience. The fries in this unit is way better than the ones from other Red Robins. It is well located and has a (paid) underground parking.

I took my family to this place on Thanksgiving. We do not care much about Thanksgiving and this was the first restaurant that came to mind with a turkey dish on the menu. They were having a special, but at 12h30 one of the side dishes was already over, and the restaurant was not even half full. Somehow we did not feel as comfortable as in other The Pantry restaurants.

There are plenty of options outside the Willowbrook Mall, but if you want to stay inside, that is a good call. Reasonable food, good service, reasonable installations and price.

It is the best option inside the Guildford Town Centre. It is much bigger than it appears from outside. The service is about the same you will find in other The Patry restaurants, not the greatest in the world, but fair enough.

I have been in TGI Fridays in many places and I like the concept of it. But in the two times that I have visited this restaurant in Metrotown, I ended up disappointed. The service was not warm enough, for example, they make you wait, even with many empty tables. There are some ill located tables, the food is a bit overpriced and not that tasty. I had the Jack Danielīs ribs both times, and it had been consistently overcooked.

The place is very calm during lunch, with some tv sets to watch a game. The food is, say, Boston Pizza. I like the ribs with garlic and honey sauce. As in many chain restaurants, unfortunately they only have Pepsi drinks.

It is a restaurant you would not expect in that neighbourhood. Great food. There is a charm for being a family business and being installed in an old house, but then some limitations appear too. The service is cordial and affable.
